All Automatic Transmission was The Garage's neighbor in Tehachapi before it bought the business. The crew came across, the work moved into our shop on N Green Street, and it trades under the AAT name now.

The Garage built a following in Tehachapi the way shops in mountain towns do, which is slowly and by being right about things. All Automatic Transmission opened next door in 2015, so for years the two shops worked alongside each other on the same street.
When we took The Garage on, the people who had earned that following came with it. They work here now, under the AAT name, out of our shop at 431 N Green St. The name on the sign changed and the address shifted a few doors; the crew you dealt with did not.
What the town gained is depth. Tehachapi is a long way from most things, and a transmission that has to go down the hill costs a driver days. This shop has a transmission specialist behind it now, with five locations of parts, equipment and experience to draw on, and nobody has to drive to Bakersfield for it.
